About

Originally from southern California, I moved to Orlando in 2014 to get my MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. After finishing my program in 2016, I returned home to get re-established and begin working with clients in private practice. Little did I know that the handsome fella that had been winking at me and wooing my heart throughout my time in Orlando, would woo me all the way back to Orlando about a year later. Fall of 2017, I found myself packed to the brim and driving my car across the country for the third time.

Since returning to Orlando, I have had the opportunity to gain a variety of experiences working with a local agency serving lower income clients as well as operating out of a couple private practices in town–Journeys Counseling Center in Maitland and Redeemer Counseling in Lake Nona. I am so grateful for the gift of getting to learn from each of my supervisors as well as the different populations of clients that these locations offer. I have also chosen to stay connected to working in staff care for The Global Mission, which is based out of southern California. It is a passion of mine to stay connected to missions work and support those serving overseas.

Before pursuing counseling, I served in ministry for a number of years, both in the US and overseas. I watched myself and others struggle with the complexities of relationships as well as balancing life in the midst of the unique demands and challenges of ministry. I watched many struggle and burnout and much of my experience is what led me to get training in how to help. I love coming alongside people serving in these capacities, helping them thrive in who God has made and called them to be.
