I’ve always had the bent of a shepherd and it only makes sense that God has led me to a place where my gifts and passions are more purposefully aligned to help people serving in ministry. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve and use my gifts part-time with The Global Mission (TGM) while I also work locally as a counselor. I enjoy bringing my knowledge and expertise as a counselor into my ministry with TGM and, in a reciprocal way, I find that my experiences in my ministry continue to shape and inform the ways I sit with my clients.
What is TGM?
The Global Mission has missionaries serving in different countries, each committed to living out their ministries of evangelism and discipleship in their communities. The organization also has an established ministry in Haiti that empowers locals to be a movement of change to the community, particularly through their ministry to orphaned children. Through partnerships, there have also been growing opportunities to train and equip the country’s most influential pastors.
Why work with TGM?
While I look forward to working with people from all walks of life in private practice, my heart is deeply passionate about working with missionaries and those serving in full-time ministry. There are such unique stresses and struggles that go along with these roles and there are often not enough resources available for those serving to get the help they may need. During my years serving overseas, I saw many people struggling in life and burning out, unable to figure out how to move beyond survival. I love to help those feeling stuck get the care they need in order to bring life and redemption to others out of places they are thriving personally.
What I do with TGM?
- Regularly connecting with the missionaries and staff for their care and development
- Helping train and develop staff in Haiti that work with our rescued children
- Equipping teams for cross-cultural ministry
- Offering counseling where needed
